The Orange Carpet Takeover was an event which was organized to have current students and faculty reflect back on the Old Sem Takeover in 1968, and choose how they felt about the choices made in 1968. In this section there are photos of the event and of some writings on the posters.

The OC Takeover was planned and organized by students led by Ariel Harris (2013). Those joining on the Orange Carpet for 15 minute segments from 11-1 remained silent. This was to commemorate the Old Sem Takeover of October 1968 by a group of 30 students. A slide show representing the original event played on the screen while music chosen around the themes of change and civil disobedience filled the air. Students, faculty and staff joined in, and many wrote comments about their opinions on civil disobedience on the poster paper surrounding the OC.
